TNR refers to trap-neuter-return. This is a process by which the feral cats that are wandering the streets outside are humanely trapped. Either by automatic traps, manual traps or even the old Wile E. Coyote method of a drop trap. All cats are then spayed/neutered, vaccinated and released back to their native colony. If you have cats in your neighborhood and you are willing to become part of the solution, please contact us at FloridaFeline@gmail.com. Once a feral colony has been altered, the annoying habits of unaltered animals are often eliminated. This includes fighting, spraying and constant meowing. It also means you won't have to worry about kittens getting run over in the parking lot or showing up on your front door. A small monetary donation is requested as we are a non-profit that thrives on community support. Definitions: TNR: trap-neuter-return Colony: A feral cat colony is a population (or "clowder") of feral domestic cats (not to be confused with wild cats).
Members of a feral cat colony can include cats that have strayed after
living with human caretakers as well as their offspring, which have had
little human contact or none at all. Established feral colonies are
located worldwide. (provided by Wikipedia)
